Meet the Faces Behind RAISE FRC, each bringing a wealth of experience and passion to our mission of supporting North Carolina's foster children. Our entire board is TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) certified, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to advocate effectively for vulnerable youth. Together, they are committed to creating lasting, positive change in the foster care system.

Ginger Rhoads
Ginger Rhoads began her journey as founder of RAISE FRC on April 13, 2022 after experiencing first hand the failure of the foster care system in North Carolina. As months went by, she began to meet others that had experienced the shortcomings and injustices of the NC foster care system.

Melissa Jensen
Melissa has been a full-time stay-at-home mom since she and her husband began fostering in 2013. Throughout the years they fostered, the Jensen’s welcomed and loved many kids, including several newborn babies. After adopting their daughter from foster care in 2019 they have taken time to focus solely on their new forever family.

Paula Rinehart, MSW
Paula Rinehart, MSW, is a clinical social worker with over 25 years experience in marriage and family therapy. Most importantly, she is the grandmother of four adopted children. She writes on the need for children to be part of a family.

Sherry Ford
Sherry Ford has a background of 30+ years experience in social work. Her experience includes working in county agencies and private agencies in Pennsylvania, Texas, and North Carolina. This work includes child abuse/neglect investigations & assessments, foster care, open adoptions, foster home licensing/training, and director of an emergency group home for Davidson County.
